BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department reports 129 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday as the 7-day rolling positivity rate increases to 10%.
Health officials report 950 people are isolating at home while 10,917 people have been released from isolation.
Officials also report the county’s cumulative positivity rate held steady at 6.6% as more than 183,500 residents have been tested. The rolling 7-day positivity rate is 10%, up from 9.6% on Monday.
Thirty-seven McLean County residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19, while 65% of ICU beds are in use, and 86% of total beds are in use. There are 44 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in the twin cities.
“We have seen our number of cases decreasing, and the vaccine is here, but we still have a long way to go before the fight is over,” said McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight. “It will take several months before the vaccine is readily available to the public. The priority is still what each one of us can do to help save the lives of our neighbors, family, and friends.”
There have been 113 COVID-related deaths in the county.
