72 new coronavirus cases reported in McLean County

BLOOMINGTON – Just 8% of hospital beds are available in McLean County as 34 local residents are reported to be in the hospital due to COVID-19.

Local hospitals are reporting 92% of total beds and 73% of ICU beds in use, said McLean County health officials on Tuesday.

“It is important to remember our local hospitals provide care for individuals from outside our county and provide other treatment and care,” said MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight.

The McLean County Health Department announced 72 new COVID-19 cases.

There are 892 people isolating at home, 336 additional people were released from isolation, now 11,654 are considered recovered.

The county’s rolling positivity rate dropped from 10.1% to 9%. There have been 131 COVID-related deaths in the county.
