BLOOMINGTON – It will be another 10 months before the first of a half-dozen trials is held for a Pekin piano teacher accused of sexually molesting his students in the Twin-Cities.
Three years ago, McLean County prosecutors filed 38 charges against Aaron Parlier including predatory criminal sexual assault and child pornography for crimes that allegedly happened involving six children in Bloomington-Normal from 2010 to January of 2018.
Judge Casey Costigan on Monday scheduled the jury trial for one of the reported victims to start October 12. That trial is expected to last about a week.
Last April, Costigan decided Parlier, 39, should face separate trials for each alleged victim instead of all the cases at the same time.
Parlier remains jailed on $1 million bond, which means he has to come up with $100,000 cash to be released.
