BLOOMINGTON – Fire crews were called Monday morning to Brass Pig Smoke & Ale House for a fire coming from the rear of the building.

Firefighters were called around 9:38 a.m. and found a smoldering fire on the back deck which contained a pile of cardboard boxes, according to the Bloomington Fire Department.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and opened the rear of the building to check for fire extension. BFD says little to no damage was sustained inside the building and the business will remain open at this time.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
