BLOOMINGTON – The city’s public works department shared an update this week on road projects and the resurfacing plan for streets around Bloomington.
The city council also approved the asphalt and concrete budget, which is around $7 million.
Public works crews are still finishing up some projects from last year, but City Manager Tim Gleason says the council is determined to improve and maintain roads around Bloomington.
“We are putting a major dent in some of the things we have fallen behind on,” Gleason told WJBC’s Scott Miller. “I know it is a source of frustration, but it is for the elected officials and staff as well. The past couple of years we have made major progress, we really have.”
The city has created a “Bloomington Streets” web page to share updates on the resurfacing plan.
