BLOOMINGTON – Public pools will be open this summer around the Twin-Cities, but just one location will be operational in Bloomington.
Holiday Pool will open May 29 while O’Neil Pool is under construction until next year.

There will be several COVID precautions in place, according to Bloomington Aquatics/Sports Program Manager Nicole Culbertson. The pool will offer 90-minute time blocks that people can register for online. Culbertson says this will allow for staff to sanitize and clean areas before a new group of guests.
“Face coverings will be required in the facility, but if you are swimming you won’t have to wear it,” she said. “We’ll have place markers around with social distancing reminders as well.”
