BLOOMINGTON – McLean County added two more COVID-related deaths, bringing the number of lives lost to 230. The health department says it was two men, one in his 40s the other in his 70s, neither associated with a long-term care facility.
Local health officials reported 33 new cases Tuesday as the number of McLean County residents hospitalized due to COVID fell from 20 to three. The county’s rolling positivity rate inched down to 1.8%, the first time it has been below 2% since early March.
68 additional people were released from isolation and are considered recovered.

Just over 148,000 doses have been administered locally with 40% of McLean County’s population fully vaccinated.
