COVID vaccine clinics will continue in Downtown Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington and McLean County Health Department will continue COVID vaccinations at the downtown arena but at a reduced capacity.

Vaccine clinics at Grossinger Motors Arena will now take place in the Bud Light Lounge area, as well as the section of the south concourse that extends from the lounge to the main doors, according to a news release Tuesday.

Last week, three of the Illinois National Guard teams pulled out of the arena, leaving one team of 18 guardsmen at the site along with six nurses.

Vaccine clinics will operate at Grossinger Motors Arena from July 1 through September 1.
