McLean County Health Department reports 54 new cases of COVID-19; two additional deaths

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County reports an uptick in COVID-19 cases, as the county records two more COVID-19 related deaths in the past week.

The latest deaths are a male in his 50’s and one female in her 60’s neither associated with long-term care facilities. So far, there are 239 COVID-related deaths in the county.

Public Affairs Coordinator Marianne Manko reports the 52 people are isolating at home, while 18,251 people are considered recovered.

Currently, eight individuals are hospitalized in McLean County hospitals.

“No McLean County residents are reported to be hospitalized due to COVID-19,” added Manko. “It is important to remember that this number does not represent all persons currently hospitalized for COVID-19 or for other treatment and care. Our local hospitalizes provide care for individuals from outside our county, and McLean County residents may receive care outside our county.”

More than 377,500 tests have resulted in a cumulative positivity rate of 4.9%. The rolling 7-day positivity rate is 1.6%.

On the vaccine front, 166,222 does of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in McLean County.
