BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man faces multiple weapon charges after police say he played a role in a Bloomington apartment complex shooting Friday morning.

Authorities said they were called around 1:45 a.m. on Friday to the 1200 block of Orchard Rd. for a 911 hang-up. Once on the scene, deputies learned that a shooting had occurred, and several shots were fired.

According to a news release, Qwonterian Ivy, 23, of Bloomington, was seen allegedly firing a gun from a vehicle, which appeared to target a group of people standing in a common area in the apartment complex.

During an investigation, officers found bullets lodged into three different occupied buildings on the west side of Orchard Rd.

Additionally, police allegedly found two pistols in a nearby apartment.

Police charged Ivy with three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Investigators say additional suspects have not been arrests, and there were no reported injuries.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Bloomington Police.

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
