BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington’s city manager continues to get glowing reviews from elected leaders, who are scheduled to vote Monday night on giving him a raise.
Tim Gleason, who used to run city governments in Washington and Decatur, received the highest performance ranking for his work in Bloomington.
The city council is scheduled to vote Monday on a proposed 2.5% raise, retroactive to July 23, that will boost Gleason’s annual salary to $202,149.
If the council approves, the city will also contribute $550 per month into Gleason’s retirement account. Until now, the city paid him that amount each month as reimbursement for driving his car on official business.
Gleason was hired in 2018 as Bloomington city manager.
