Frontier announces new nonstop service from Bloomington to Tampa

BLOOMINGTON – Frontier Airlines on Tuesday announced new nonstop flights from Central Illinois Regional Airport to Tampa starting this December.

“Central Illinois travelers love to visit Florida and we welcome this new, nonstop service to Tampa International Airport (TPA) on Frontier.”, said Alan Sender, Chairman of the Bloomington Normal Airport Authority. “With the Tampa service starting on December 17, families and friends looking for winter break getaways, golfers, and sunseekers can take advantage of the low fares done right on Frontier to sunny Tampa Bay.”

According to a news release, the flights will run twice a week on Monday and Friday starting Dec. 17. To celebrate the new service, Frontier is offering introductory fares starting at $49.

Frontier currently offers nonstop flights from Bloomington to Orlando and Denver on a seasonal basis. The airline started nonstop flights from Bloomington to Las Vegas in August, but the service is being suspended Oct. 3.
