SPRINGFIELD – Illinois’ looming leadership in clean energy is a story Gov Pritzker is eager to tell.

On the eve of his departure to Europe, Pritzker touted an electric vehicle incentive package which passed the legislature last week.

“We now have a robust toolkit to attract and support EV manufacturers and consumers,” the governor said. “That’s on top of having the nation’s best infrastructure, top tier national laboratories and engineering schools, and the most robust shipping and logistics capabilities, and new incentives now to train Illinois’ workforce for EV jobs.”

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
