Prices at the pump down over the past week

BLOOMINGTON – Just in time for the holidays, gas prices across Illinois have fallen in the past week.

According to recent data compiled by GasBuddy, prices across the state is down 5.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.39 a gallon on Monday.

The cheapest station in the state is priced at $2.82 a gallon, while the most expensive is $4.49.

“For yet another week, average gasoline prices continue to fall as omicron cases surge, leading oil demand, and thus oil prices (dropping),” Patrick DeHaan, Head of Petroleum Analysis at GasBuddy said.

On a national level, prices at the pump is down 2.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.30 on Monday.
