Bloomington-Normal to host IHSA Competitive Dance State Finals

BLOOMINGTON – The Twin-Cities will welcome visitors from around the state this weekend for the Illinois High School Association Competitive Dance State Finals.

The event will take place Friday and Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Downtown Bloomington. According to the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, over the course of the two-day event, nearly 6,000 people are expected to travel to the area. The Convention and Visitors Bureau says the event will bring an estimated direct economic impact of $732,500.

Class 1A and 2A preliminary performances will begin on Friday at 10:15 a.m., followed by 3A preliminary performances at 4:15 p.m. Doors will open to the Arena on Saturday at 10 a.m. with 1A and 2A team finals beginning at 11 a.m. and 3A team finals beginning at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased through GoFan or the GoFan app. Tickets can be purchased cash-only at the arena ticket office.
