Peoria man wanted for officer-involved shooting; considered armed and dangerous

PEORIA – Illinois State Police are asking for the public’s help on the whereabouts of a Peoria man who was allegedly involved in an officer shooting in late January.  

On Wednesday, ISP Division of Criminal Investigations Zone 4 obtained an arrest warrant for Carlos Jones, 43 of Peoria.  

Authorities say Jones is wanted for reckless discharge of a firearm stemming from the officer-involved shooting incident which occurred in the 1200 block of E. McClure Avenue in Peoria.  

Police say Jones should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if seen.  

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Jones is encouraged to contact Peoria Police at 309-673-4521.
