MCSO: Man allegedly uses firefighter tool to break into a gaming machine

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with identifying a white male who allegedly attempted to break into a video gaming machine.

Last Friday, deputies said a white male, approx.. 5’10” to 6’0″, medium/large build allegedly used a ‘Halligan tool,’ commonly used by firefighters to break into a gaming machine at Kick’s Bar & Grill in Towanda. Authorities say the suspect used the tool to break into the machine and steal the cash box.

Police say the male suspect was also wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket, dark-colored face mask, blue jeans, black gloves, and steel-toe type work boots.

A suspect vehicle description is being developed.
