NPD asking for help in identifying a suspect in a battery investigation

NORMAL – Normal Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a battery of an older person.

In early February, Police say a man allegedly made contact with an elderly male in the Quick ‘N EZ parking lot on E. Vernon Ave. in Normal.

The suspect is described as a black male, last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, a grey jacket, and blue house slippers.

Authorities say the suspect battered the male and left the scene in a black four-door Sedan or hatchback style vehicle.
