Founder of Monical’s Pizza passes away

TOLONO – Ralph Monical, the founder of Monical’s Pizza, has passed away.

In a Facebook post, Monical’s Pizza in Tolono, where Ralph started the pizzeria in 1959, announced his passing.

“All of us at Monical’s Pizza in Tolono would like to express our deepest sympathies to the Monical family during this sad time following the passing of Ralph Monical,” the restaurant said in a release.

The pizza chain consists of over 60 Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin locations.
