2 dead from Bloomington apartment shooting

BLOOMINGTON – Two people are dead, including a child, after a shooting Tuesday night in Bloomington.

Police were called around 7:45 p.m. to the 1000 block of Four Seasons Road. The McLean County Coroner pronounced a six-year old child dead at the scene.

Authorities say a 35-year old man suffered injuries consistent with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

A 32-year old woman was taken to OSF St. Joseph with critical and life threatening injuries that were consistent with a gunshot wound

The victims identities are being withheld until family is notified.

“A preliminary investigation suggests the homicide occurred during a domestic violence incident inside of the apartment, however the circumstances regarding the homicide are still under investigation,” said Bloomington Police in a news release.
