BLOOMINGTON – A Naperville man has been identified as the victim of the fatal crash on southbound Interstate 55 Thursday south of Bloomington.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder says 51 year-old Jeffrey P. Ray, died at the scene. The autopsy shows Ray died of head injuries sustained when his car struck the back of a semi-truck trailer. He was the sole occupant in the car at the time of the crash.
Yoder says toxicology is pending.
The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
