Mackinaw woman identified in Monday night fatal crash

TAZEWELL – A Mackinaw woman died in a car crash late Monday night in East Peoria.

According to a release, a motor vehicle driven by Heather Wagner, 38, of Mackinaw, rolled over on Muller Road, about one mile east of Springfield Road.

The vehicle rolled several times and was in the front yard of a home.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood reports Wagner was transported to OSF Saint Francis in Peoria and was pronounced dead at 10:00 p.m.

Autopsy results indicated Wagner suffered from multiple blunt force trauma injuries and likely died instantly.

The accident remains under investigation by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department.
