BLOOMINGTON- The City of Bloomington has a vast surplus of mulch available free for the public.
“Recent trimming and tree maintenance have produced a vast surplus of mulch,” said Dave Lamb, City Forester and Assistant Superintendent of Parks, adding “We are happy to provide this service for the community.”
There are two mulch piles located just past the hike haven facility in Forrest park. The first pile to the immediate left is standard mulch and to the right is a double ground finer mulch.
Residents will have to self load the mulch, and it is available daily beginning Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
