PEORIA – Reditus CEO Aaron Rossi has pleaded not guilty to federal charges of tax fraud.
The state did not seek detention or bond for Rossi in his first appearance, but the judge did lay out a list of conditions he must abide by until his next court date, including:
Mandatory conditions:
- Not commit crimes
- Must submit to a DNA sample
- No changing of his telephone # or address
- Must appear at court proceedings
- Must sign to acknowledge the bond conditions
Additional conditions:
- Must be in contact with the US Probation Office
- Must surrender any passports and travel documents
- No traveling outside of the Central District of Illinois
- Cannot use or possess any narcotics
- Must submit to drug testing
- Must report any contact with law enforcement to the court
- Cannot open any lines of credit or loans
- Cannot liquidate any assets
The case will also be heard in the Southern District of Iowa. Central District of Illinois Chief Judge Sara Darrow, who is based in the Quad Cities, will hear the case, as the courthouse in Rock Island is under construction.
Breaking conditions could result in a warrant issued for arrest. Rossi signed the documents acknowledging these conditions and acknowledging and agreeing to the court proceedings being in Iowa.
