HIGHLAND PARK – A Highland Park area lawmaker says all ideas are being considered when it comes to preventing another mass shooting.
State Rep. Bob Morgan (D-Deerfield) says his office has received hundreds of calls from constituents offering suggestions about new laws and policy changes.
“There is a lot of discussion about investments and support for mental illness. There are conversations about gun safety regulations and assault weapon bans. Adjustments and changes to our red flag laws and FOID.”
“I’m getting calls from people about ideas on technology and ways in which social media can assist with this and help make this less likely to happen in the future,” said Morgan.
Morgan says nothing is off the table at this point.
