BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington woman is behind bars after allegedly robbing a Bloomington bank.
On Monday, Police reported April Mench, 35, allegedly robbed the Mid-Illini Credit Union in the 1800 block of Eastland Drive.
During an investigation, officers were able to narrow down a location for Mench after reviewing surveillance videos.
According to a news release, police found Mench at a local hotel, where she allegedly had a large amount of cash in the room.
“BPD will continue to focus our resources effectively and be persistent in our investigations to address violent crimes, which are harmful and unacceptable,” BPD Police Chief Jamal Simington said.
Prosecutors in McLean County charged Mench with aggravated robbery.
