NORMAL – The Arby’s Foundation is donating over $10,000 to the Midwest Food Bank to end childhood hunger.
It’s a part of a $500,000 effort to support every community where Arby’s has a restaurant.
“At our cost of $50 per child for the school year, this generous gift from the Arby’s Foundation will fully sponsor 204 of these local children,” said Tara Ingham, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank in Normal. “More than 3,400 local children facing food insecurity will receive food each weekend through the Hope Packs program.”
According to a news release, Midwest Food Bank is providing food every weekend of the school year for 204 local children through the food bank’s Hope Packs weekend backpack feeding program.
