BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Coroner’s office is releasing the name of a Bloomington woman who died in a crash on Monday.
28-year-old Chelsea Marshall died from multiple blunt force injuries due to her car colliding with a pickup truck, according to McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder. Toxicology testing is pending.
Bloomington Police told our news partner 25 News three others went to the hospital – including a 2-year-old boy who was in a car seat in the back of Marshall’s car.
Conditions of the child and two adults in the pickup truck were not known.
Police say Marshall’s car was traveling southbound on Veterans Parkway near the Main Street exit when it hydroplaned on the wet road, hit a median, became airborne and struck the pickup head-on in the northbound lanes.
The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Bloomington Police.
