FULTON COUNTY – The driver and passenger of a semi were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Fulton County at 9:24 a.m. Thursday.

Illinois State Police District 14 says the truck tractor driven by a man from Creve Coeur was traveling westbound on US 136 near County Highway 13 in Fulton County when the semi traveled off the north side of 136.

The driver over-corrected while attempting to get back onto the roadway and traveled across both plans of 136 and entered the ditch on the south side and overturned.

The driver was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and failure to wear a seatbelt by driver.

The passenger, from Bloomington, was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.
