NORMAL – A man accused of sexually assaulting a teen last year has been arrested as a result of an investigation by the Normal Police Department.
Thirty five year old Labarte Robinson of Normal, has had his bond set at $1 million.
Robinson was charged on Wednesday of last week by a grand jury with one case of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and four counts of criminal sexual assault involving the same alleged victim, who was between the ages of 13 and 17.
According to the charges, the sex crimes took place between June and December of last year.
Robinson needs to pay 10% of his bond, or $100,000, in order to get out of jail. The date of his arraignment is set for May 5.
