NORMAL – A substitute teacher is no longer welcome at Illinois State University’s lab school after an incident Wednesday.

While details are scarce, the school’s administration responded to a request for comment.

U-High Principal Andrea Markert said the “administration is aware of and responding appropriately to the circumstances but is bound by law and cannot provide details about matters involving minors.”

However, Principal Markert told WJBC News that the substitute is not currently being considered for work at the University, which includes the Laboratory Schools.

There are no other details at this time.

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
