One person shot early Saturday morning in Normal

NORMAL – Authorities in Normal are investigating how a person was shot early Saturday morning.

Shots rang out in the 1500 block of Woods Ave. around 1:30 a.m.

Normal Police report officers found shell casings in a parking lot of a nearby apartment complex.

Authorities found no injuries at the scene, but dispatch told police one victim with a gunshot wound was at OSF St. Joseph Hospital.

The victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

There have been no arrests, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact NPD.
