NORMAL – One of Normal’s top leaders is leaving the city for a new position in Galesburg.
The Galesburg City Council announced Eric Hanson as the city’s new manager Wednesday night.
Hanson has served as the Assistant City Manager in Normal since 2019.
After a nationwide recruitment campaign, the Galesburg City Council selected Hanson to serve in the new role.
Hanson is expected to work in Normal until December.
