MCLEAN COUNTY – An accused killer died in custody at the McLean County Jail from an apparent suicide.
During a security check around 9:30 Thursday night, correctional officers found Joshua Livingston, 41, of Danvers, unresponsive.
Despite rescue efforts, Livingston was pronounced dead at 10:22 by the Mclean County Coroner’s Office.
Livingston was facing charges of first-degree murder, possession of a stolen vehicle, and concealment of a homicidal death.
He’s been in custody since the end of April.
To determine a cause of death, the McLean County Sheriff’s Office is performing an autopsy.
The incident is under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
