BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police are probing a shooting Monday night that injured a 16-year-old boy on the city’s south side.
BPD was called around 11:29 p.m. to the 900 block of Wright Street, according to a news release. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the teenager with a gunshot wound to his leg. Patrol officers provided aid and applied a tourniquet to the injured appendage. Paramedics with the Bloomington Fire Department transported the person to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
No other details were released. Bloomington police said the circumstances behind the shooting are still under investigation.
