Heartland Community College announces new director of Pontiac campus

PONTIAC – Heartland Community College has a new head director of it’s Pontiac Campus.

Current Interim Director of the Pontiac Center, April Fornero, will stay in the role on a permanent basis.

Fornero was appointed to the position in an interim role following the departure of Stacey Shrewsburg in August.

Fornero will lead the strategic planning and operations of HCCP. She will direct, develop, and enhance external relationships in the Livingston County area to promote the College and support students, programs, and services.

Fornero previously served as Director of Continuing Education Programming and Scheduling.

She joined Heartland in the position of Continuing Education Programming Analyst back in 2016.

Fornero received her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from Illinois State University. She is also graduated from HCC, earning her Associate of Science degree in 2014.
