BLOOMINGTON – A record-breaking year is in the books for the Bloomington Fire Department.
In the past year, the department responded to 13,615 calls for help.
That total is up by almost a thousand calls since 2021.
In addition, the department responded to 10,476 emergency medical calls.
That’s on top of 207 and 2,187 sick-person incidents.
The department responded to an average of 37 daily calls in the past year.
