Annual two-day St. Jude Radiothon kicks off Thursday

BLOOMINGTON – The annual St. Jude radiothon kicks off Thursday with WJBC and Radio Bloomington to help raise thousands of dollars to fight childhood cancer.

For Sara Cunningham, the mother of Alexa Cunningham, who battled cancer at a young age, every dollar makes a difference.

“St. Jude is still covering us, they are still providing the care that she needs, I think until she is 18 (years old) they will follow her and still give her this amazing level of care even though she’s not in active treatment anymore.”

Thanks to generous donors, those who need St. Jude’s help do not have to pay a dime.
