BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has identified the woman who died in a fire Monday afternoon just outside the Twin-Cities.
According to a news release, Janice L. Morris, 75, of rural Bloomington, died from carbon monoxide intoxication due to inhalation of smoke. Toxicology testing is pending.
On Monday, McLean County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at a house fire just after 2:30 p.m. in Dry Grove Township and found Morris in the residence.
Efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
