BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington Teacher was recently named the National Excellence in Teaching About Agriculture Award winner.
Amanda Stanko, a STEM teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic Elementary School, earned the honor for her excellence in the classroom.
Stanko earned the top honor by providing 275 kindergartens through sixth-grade students with real-world problems and solutions.
In addition, Stanko teaches her students agriculture through a giving garden that supports the school’s cafeteria.
