OSF HealthCare in Peoria receives a $1M donation from Lincoln, IL. foundation

PEORIA – OSF HealthCare in Peoria announced via news release a $1 million gift from The Woods Foundation (TWF).

The gift comes as the OSF Cancer Institute is set to open on Thursday. During a tour of the facility, TWF board members were moved by the new campus and the effect it’ll have on patients undergoing treatment.

TWF primarily focuses on philanthropic endeavors near Logan County but was impressed by the statewide impact the world-class facility will have.

The new 180,000-square-foot facility will host a proton beam radiation cyclotron, a new suite for brachytherapy treatment, a teaching kitchen to promote healthy eating during and after a cancer journey, and a healing garden.
