NORMAL – The final candidate looking to become Illinois State University’s next president has been announced.
Dr. Valerio Ferme is in his third year serving as the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Cincinnati. He oversees over 50,000 students, 6,000 faculty and 15 academic colleges.
Prior to the University of Cincinnati, Ferme served as Dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Northern Arizona University.
Ferme will be on the ISU campus for an open forum Thursday from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the Old Main Room at the Bone Student Center.
The university has already announced the other three finalists. They include current ISU interim president Dr. Aondover Tarhule, Dr. Donald Donald Easton-Brooks who currently works at the University of Nevada-Reno and Dr. Elizabeth Reitz Mullenix from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
ISU’s Presidential Search Committee is scheduled to hold its next meeting this Friday at 8 a.m.
