NORMAL – Normal Police Department (NPD) has arrested a man for his alleged possession of child pornography, according to a Normal police news release.
Back in August last year, NPD detectives opened their investigation after receiving a cyber tip from the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (ICAC).
With the help of McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office, NPD detectives were able to identify and arrest Richard Jackson, 39, on Feb. 29.
The McLean County Grand Jury has indicted Jackson with 36 counts of possession of child pornography.
Jackson remains behind bars in the McLean County Jail.
