NPD name 2023 Officer of the Year

NORMAL – Normal Police Department awarded one of their Detectives as the Officer of the Year.

With 19 years under her belt at NPD, the department named Detective Kendra DeRosa the Officer of the Year.

Detective DeRosa has held various positions at NPD, including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and juvenile forensic interviewer.

Detective DeRosa works hand-in-hand with the Children’s Advocacy Center in McLean County and is a Task Force Member with the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children.

In addition, Detective DeRosa also serves as the President of the Police Benevolent and Protective Association Unit 22.

At a recent ceremony, Detective DeRosa received a plaque to honor her achievements.
