Coroner identifies victim of deadly three-vehicle crash in McLean County

MCLEAN COUNTY – McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has identified the victim of a deadly three-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday.

According to Yoder, Julio Antunez, 49, of Lincoln, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary autopsy information indicates he was the driver of the vehicle that struck multiple semi-truck. Antunez suffered multiple blunt-force trauma injuries, Yoder said.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. just north of where Interstates 55 and 74 merge near Bloomington.

This incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office.
