BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Center for The Performing Arts announced that it has already surpassed its 2023 attendance mark just three months into 2024.
According to a BCPA news release, after several very successful shows, attendance is up 335% compared to attendance this time last year.
Some of the bigger contributors to the spike in attendance were back-to-back-sold-out performances of Three Dog Night and Chelcie Lynn.
The amount of sold-out shows at the center has been on the rise, with Charlie Berens and Lee Brice both in recent months performing to sold-out shows.
“We’ve broadened the programming to feature shows and genres that have not been done on a routine basis, or at all at the venue.” Assistant Arts & Entertainment Director Mike Wilcott said. “We are thrilled to see new faces along with many familiar ones coming through the doors and we are so grateful for the continued support from the community.”
More information on upcoming shows can be found on the center’s website.
