LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Local police want to discover why a large fish kill stretched 20 miles in Livingston County.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says dead fish spanned the banks of a 20-mile stretch in Livingston County.
Authorities found the dead fish .75 miles south of Highway 24 near Weston to two thousand North.
IDNR fisheries, wildlife biologists, and conservation police officers are working with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to investigate the cause of the fish kill.
