HUDSON – Hundreds made the trip out to Hudson over the weekend and raised record funds at the St. Jude Feed.

The event was hosted at the Sit n Bull in Hudson and featured an all you can eat $25 dollar meal, an auction and a 50/50 drawing and raffle.

In 2023, the fundraiser tallied $64,000 for kids at St. Jude. The founder of the the fundraiser, Mike O’Grady, shared the total money raised in 2024 with WJBC’s Scott Miller Monday morning.

“I am pleased to announce this years fundraising amount was $74,000. That is 10 thousand more than we did last year,” O’Grady said.

Proceeds from the event go to help St. Jude as they continue their mission of leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

“What we have been able to do, not only the Hudson community, but the broad spectrum of the McLean County area. There were people there that I haven’t seen before,” said O’Grady.

Saturday’s St. Jude Feed was the 8th annual event.

Following the event, O’Grady said in eight years, $246,000 has been raised in Hudson and donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
