Murder investigation underway in McLean County after a man was found dead in a ditch

MCLEAN COUNTY – An investigation into a man found dead in a ditch in McLean County is now a murder investigation.

McLean County Sheriff Deputies responded to 900 East and 1650 North around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Once on the scene, authorities found Ronald Thrasher Jr., 48, of Bloomington, dead in the ditch.

Preliminary autopsy findings indicate Thrasher Jr. died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The McLean County Sheriff’s Office, McLean County Coroner’s Office, and Illinois State Police are investigating the death.

No other information is available.
