NORMAL – Community members who shopped at Carle BroMenn’s Resale Boutique helped bring in two hundred 40 thousand dollars in the past year.
The proceeds from the Resale Boutique go towards supporting clinical care needs.
Carle BroMenn plans to use the funds to purchase a new stretcher for the emergency department, security cameras for the pharmacy, and new overhead lights in the operating room.
Also, hospital staff plans to purchase a new crib for pediatric and new neonatal phototherapy lights for the mother-baby unit.
“I’ve often heard that the Resale Boutique is the best-kept secret in town,” Sue Seibring, manager of Volunteer Services at Carle BroMenn Medical Center said in a news release. “But we want everyone to know we are here and offer opportunities for community members to shop, donate, and/or volunteer in a friendly and fun environment that offers an ever-changing array of merchandise and exciting one-of-a-kind finds.”
The resale boutique, located at 1322 S. Main St. in Normal, runs off donations, paid staff, and more than 100 volunteers.
The store is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
